I know truth of this philosophy from personal experience. As a student athlete at San Jose State University, I played offensive line and eventually tipped the scale at over 300 pounds. After my sophomore year, I made a conscious decision to change positions, risking my role as a starter.
Why? For my health AND performance.
That offseason, my WHY motivated me to lose 65 pounds. I showed up to training camp ready not just to play, but to start at a brand new position. I posted stats beyond anything I had achieved as an offensive heavyweight. I figured out how to change my life because my health and my interest in being a better athlete drove me every step of the way. While I no longer play football, my health is still at the top of my WHY list when it comes to my commitment to fitness.
I am not perfect. I've both gained and lost weight--intentionally and unintentionally. And those experiences help me understand the struggles many people face with their weight and fitness. I always knew I wanted to help people, and that life-changing offseason led me to discover HOW I could help others find their own way to their fit life.
I want to help you find YOUR fit. Today, my clients are my WHYs. My mission is to inspire and motivate those who think a healthy lifestyle is unattainable. Give me eight weeks of hard work and common-sense moderation, and I'll show you how to eat what you love, work out efficiently and effectively, and achieve the fit life of your dreams.

I grew up in two places: in the kitchen and on the playing field. I like to cook because I love to eat. Growing up, I realized that hard work and natural skill alone wouldn't let me compete at my utmost potential. I needed to enhance my fitness with the profound effect of excellent nutrition. I've made the kitchen my secret weapon ever since.
Since then, I've been fascinated by the impact nutrition has not only on training and physique, but also on how it makes someone feel. I'm dedicated to helping people work with food, not fight with it. As a dietitian that has experience with hospital patients as well as professional athletes, I know that eating right is essential to perform well and feel great. I've learned that helping people face their weight and fitness challenges often begins by changing their perspective on food. Eating nutritious, healthy food that makes you feel great should be celebrated, not feared.
I've integrated my holistic behavior change approach to nutrition into the Zorn Fitness plan. No extra steps. No special foods. No weird rules or restrictions. These are the only rules: Do the workouts. Follow the nutrition plan. See what happens in a few weeks. Take ownership of your life and your results!
